Why Aren’t More Teachers Using Twitter?
The first blog post I commented on explains how Twitter can be an asset in the classroom and why more teachers should use this technology tool for educational purposes. Twitter allows teachers to post endless capabilities that allow them to share articles, infographics, videos, and blog posts. This tool also gives teachers countless ways of learning new things everyday. He also stresses that PE majors especially should take advantage of this tool. PE teachers as well as other teachers can use Twitter to figure out ways of implementing technology in to the educational field. This article is great for any teacher considering using Twitter in the classroom. My comment that I posted is below.
My name is Duane Nelson and I’m a student in EDM 310 at the University of South Alabama. I agree with you that Twitter is a great tool for professional development and it provides a countless amounts feed for educators. Twitter is defiantly a great asset that school systems should integrate into the classroom and should be used between teachers. #PEGeeks Directory – There’s an app for that!
The second blog post that I commented on is about an app that keeps a directory of health and physical education specialist. This directory allows information to be accessed such as emails, twitter accounts, level of teaching, and locations. Through this app teachers will be able to chat with other educators and share ideas with one another. One of the best features of this app is that it is 100% free. I recommend to any physical or health education specialist to download this app! The comment I posted is below.
